The CLASSIC is designed for the rider that is strong and rides longer distances. It has a different fork that tends to be more forgiving of steering inputs at low speed and has more clearance to take 25c tyres at the rear and 25c at the front if needed. It is not a touring frame as such, instead it is suited to Challenge Rides and riders that prefer a comfortable steady frame. The balance is front 44% - 56% rear with a 100mm stem in place.
